Sketch Challenge

Many of you have asked me where I get my ideas from when it comes to cards, pages and layouts.  That answer is simple.  Most times, I use Close to My Heart’s variety of fantastic How-to Books.

There are 2 books that are specific to Card Making – Wishes and Originals.

There are 4 books that are specific to Scrapbooking for both pages and layouts – Cherish, Imagine, Magic and Reflections.

And there are 2 magazine style booklets that have a combination of cards, pages and layouts – Make it from your Heart, Volume 1 and Volume 2.

I use them all.
One thing I love about these books is that no two patterns are the same in any of the books.  There is always something fresh to create.  I also love the inspiration these books provide.  There is sample artwork for you to gain ideas from, but to make your own based on the papers and embellishments you might have in your scrap stash. Lastly, I love that these designs challenge me to think outside my normal creative comfort zone with a new design, a new mix of papers or a new technique.
That is why I am starting a sketch challenge each month, and I would love for you to be a part of it.  (NOTE:  This is NOT open to other CTMH Consultants… only my loyal customers.)
Each month, I will post a sketch.  You use the sketch to create something using your own supplies.  Some months it will be a card sketch – make a card!  Other months in will be a single page or a layout – preserve your memories!  Using supplies you have on hand, you create whatever inspires you!
When you are finished with your creation, email or text me (775-750-7809) a picture of your work of art, and I will post it here for all to see and be inspired by.   You will then be entered into a drawing to win an ink pad of your choice!  How cool is that?
It’s a great way to get creative, use your supplies, support and encourage others through creativity!
Are you ready to get started?  Here is this month’s page sketch!

Ready, set, go!  Get crafting!
Until next time and another fabulous sketch challenge,
Roberta
