As I write this, we are in Fillmore, Utah -- population, unsure, but too small to have a Walmart.😊
I wanted to share another space saving tip for those crafters out there who don't have a lot of storage space, but want to have it all and want to have it all in one location. It is a great tip for those who attend crops and retreats, for those who live in apartments, for those who don't have a dedicated craft room, or are like me: The Traveling Crafter.
The Small Organizer (Z4138) from Close to My Heart (shown above) can hold up to 3 layers of My Acrylix Blocks, with the foam inserts (Z4141). When crafting from my home base, I usually have 2 layers of blocks in my box; however, with traveling in the RV these days and wanting to conserve both space and weight, I removed a layer of blocks, which are now in storage, and I have only the basics with me. This still gives me a variety of blocks for stamping cards, gift tags, scrapbook pages, etc, as well as duplicates of blocks that are most often used when stamping.
I also love to have daubers on hand. Daubers (Z726 and Z1938) are excellent for inking edges of artwork, inking stamps with more than one color, etc. They fit onto your finger tips, like olives when you were a kid on Thanksgiving Day. 😛
This keeps you -- and your artwork -- clean and free of smudges.
In the RV, my Small Organizer serves as double duty -- blocks AND dauber storage.
On the bottom of the box I have my layer of blocks, but when I open the lid, attached using only a few Glue Dots is my foam insert (Look closely at the closed lid -- You can see the Glue Dots through the box.) full of daubers in nearly every CTMH color, neatly labeled and color organized. (Dauber insert Z1897).
Double duty, space saving storage is the name of the crafting game.
Functional, efficient, and effective, no matter where you are!
Until next time on the road,
Roberta
