Tip of the Week: Using Couture Inks

Using Couture Inks is very similar to using Chalkology Pastes, with a few exceptions:
  • Always put something under your project to protect your surface and prevent bleed through to a second layer on items such as t-shirts. (Our Ink Mats are the perfect add-on!)
  • To avoid bleeding under the transfer, use a small amount of Ink and start your swipe outside, working your way into the open areas.
  • Once your project is completely dry (I recommend 24 hours) heat set to make permanent.

  • To heat set on fabric, use an iron on a medium heat setting (no steam) for @ 4 minutes on each side.
Place a piece of parchment paper between your iron and the design. Wash as normal.
  • For oven safe items, such as glass, ceramics, metal (Make sure it is NOT powder coated!) place items in a cold oven. Pre-heat to 350 degrees. When oven reaches 350, set timer for @ 45 minutes. When time is expired, keep oven door closed, turn off your oven, but leave items until they are cold to touch. I like to do this over night.

And just like that, it is Permanent!

BIG UPDATE!

It comes with a heavy heart to announce I will no longer be maintaining my Blog.  It will not be deleted... at least for now; however, I wil...
