Creative Thursday!

It's Creative Thursday, and was I busy last week while at the Back in Time -- to the 80's Retreat in Lake Tahoe?!  It always amazes me how much I can accomplish when there aren't any of the day to day distractions of working at home... no laundry, no hubby, no dog, etc.

While in the Reno area, I did some crafty shopping too... I hit the "BIG 3" -- Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Joann's, as well as the Goodwill Store looking for some creative inspiration.  (Yes, I made purchases in each store for upcoming projects, so stay tuned for those.)  But more importantly, while at the retreat, and my true purpose for being in the Reno area, I finished more than 65 cards and 30 scrapbook pages, 3 paper pumpkins, and a wooden board I chalked!  WOW!  All that is 5 days and 4 nights of creative bliss!

So today, I thought I would share some of the fancier cards I made while in Lake Tahoe, as well as the wooden sign I created.  I hope they will give you some creative inspiration to pull out the paper, find an object to chalk, or to get started on a long, over due project.

Box Card

Rocker Card

Shutterfold Card

Stair Step Card

Starburst Card

Triple Time Card
Each of these cards will be part of an upcoming Card Creations Class, where each month we create 2 cards of 2 designs.  In October, we are making the Rocker and and Stair Step cards.  (I love both the bird on the Rocker Card and the hunting scene on the Stair Step Card.)

While at the retreat, I also tried my hand at chalking on wood.  I purchased the board at Michael's, where they were 60% off -- no coupon!  I had not attempted chalking on wood previously and thought I would give it a try.  I love the distressed look of the sign and can't wait to make a few others to sell at an upcoming craft fair.

Which project was your favorite? One of the cards?  The sign?
Let me know your thought!  I'd love to hear them.

Until next time and more crafty creations,
Roberta

BIG UPDATE!

It comes with a heavy heart to announce I will no longer be maintaining my Blog.  It will not be deleted... at least for now; however, I wil...
