As I mentioned earlier this week, I have been a consultant
with Close to My Heart for 7 years! February
is my anniversary month. To me, that is
AMAZING! I read somewhere that 50% of
folks who join a direct sales company leave that company within their first
year of signing up. Another 40% leave
within their first 3 years, and the rest remain for the long haul. I am one of those.

I signed up as a consultant without ever having been to a Close
to My Heart party and before I even knew how to use the My Acrylic stamps. (I honestly thought you stuck them to your
fingers… I didn't know about the My Acrylic blocks.) Previously,
I had only used the wood/rubber stamps from another company, but didn’t like
the results I achieved. Then, I was
invited to an Open House and given a CTMH catalog. I liked what I saw, and knew I would rather
shop from myself than one of the big box stores that shall remain nameless in
town. Close to My Heart had everything I
wanted! The paper packs were
gorgeous. The stamps were incredible,
and the ideas and inspiration I gained from others was endless!
Have there been times that I wanted to throw in the towel
and walk away, because I had a bad sales month, or a bad experience with a
customer, or because I haven’t earned an incentive trip? ABSOLUTELY!
More times than I can count! But
I stay. I stay for one main reason… the
friends I have made through my Close to My Heart business. I have met some incredible people from all
over the country, all because we share a love of crafting. Some remain loyal customers. Some have been hostesses on multiple occasions. Some are my amazing team members, and others still
are fellow consultants from around the globe!
All of whom are now friends that are like family.

I’ve been lucky enough on this amazing journey that Russell
and I have embarked on to be able to see some of those friends as we have
traveled the country, and I look forward to seeing my other friends when we get
back to Reno/Sparks next week. I’d love
to see you! Let’s get together! Maybe at an upcoming Crop, Retreat, party, or
even just for a cup of joe to catch up!
If you would like to know more about Close to My Heart, why
I do what I do, and more importantly, why I stay, watch this video. Or if you’d like to chat about becoming friends
that are like family, let’s get together!
I’d love to share more!
Until next time, do what you love and love what you do,
Roberta
