National Paper Crafting Day is being celebrated Saturday, January 28 in honor of our love for paper crafting of ALL kinds -- scrapbooking, card making, or other creative crafts made primarily from paper.
To celebrate this National Event, I will be hosting my FIRST EVER VIRTUAL Crop on Saturday, January 28 from 9 AM - 9 PM (CST).
What is a VIRTUAL Crop you ask?
It is a Crop you can do from ANYWHERE, with ANYONE and should you choose, you don't have to leave your house to attend! You can "attend" the crop from your own home and spend the day alone in your jammies with your favorite cup/glass of creative juices, or get together with a group of girlfriends and really get the creative party going -- the choice is yours!😉
Here is how the National Paper Crafting Day VIRTUAL Crop will work!
- A mere $10/per person registration fee gets you in on a day of fun, creativity and PRIZES! Once registered, you will be added to the Facebook VIP Event Page for the Virtual Crop, where throughout the day on January 28, we will connect, share ideas, post fun photos of artwork and announce the winners!
- As an added bonus, when you sign up with a group of 5 or more friends for the day of fun, you will get the sixth registration for FREE! So why not create a girl's day of it, maybe with a potluck luncheon to make it easy on everyone, and have a great time as a group!
- Besure to complete and mail in your registration form, which can be found @ https://the-traveling-crafter.blogspot.com/p/national-paper-crafting-day-is-being.html
- Registration deadline (must be postmarked no later than): January 18, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Mailing Address:
1285 Baring Blvd. #648
Sparks, Nevada 89434
Then:
- Throughout the VIRTUAL Crop, I will feature new products from the Seasonal Expression Catalog/Idea Book which was released January 1; I will post videos to show you new techniques you can use on your projects; and I will share the additional tips, tricks and techniques every paper crafter should know.
- Beginning at 9 AM (CST) on January 28, I will host a variety of creative paper crafting challenges throughout the day from the Facebook VIP Event Page to inspire you. Challenges will be posted at: 9 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM and 6 PM (all Central Standard Time). You will have 90 minutes to complete the challenge.
- After you have completed each challenge, you will be encouraged to take a photo (nothing fancy, just a snapshot from your phone) and post it to the Facebook VIP Event Page. By taking a photo of your completed challenges and posting them, you will earn tickets, which will qualify you for prizes that will be given away via random drawing 2 hours following the start of each challenge. (11 AM, 2 PM, 5 PM and 8 PM)
- Additionally, there will be a variety of smaller challenges that can be completed in a snap throughout the day, but you must participate to earn tickets, which in turn can earn you prizes! An example of a smaller challenge might be to post a "selfie" of you to the event page... SIMPLE and QUICK!
- A GRAND PRIZE will be awarded at the close of the Crop at 9 PM (CST).
The link to each creative challenge will be posted on the Facebook VIP Event Page (The challenges will also remain on my blog (Virtual Crop Challenges) for 30 days, for easy access later on, should you need to refer back to it). In addition to challenges being on my blog, an added bonus is that when you subscribe, you’ll get an email with each new challenge/post. This will keep you updated regarding upcoming specials, travel details, Crops, Retreats and other special events I host. (Be sure to enter your email on the right-hand side of my blog to subscribe: https://the-traveling-crafter.blogspot.com/)
All of the ideas and inspiration throughout the day will help you get personal projects completed – and it’s a ton of fun to connect with fellow papercrafters across North America... I'll be participating from San Antonio (Fort Sam Houston), Texas!
This VIRTUAL Crop will focus on a variety of projects and themes for the spring time.
You won’t want to miss out on the fun, so gather a group of friends and let's get this party started!
Until I see you at the VIRTUAL Crop,
Roberta
