Shimmer Brush -- Tips, Tricks and Techniques

The new Clear Shimmer Brush and Gold Shimmer Brush are among my favorite current Close to My Heart products. Each gives a little bit of shine and a hint of sparkle to projects, but unless you are using and storing them properly, they can be a little frustrating.

Thus, I decided to share with you a few tips, tricks and techniques for using the Shimmer Brushes that I have discovered, so that you too will LOVE your Shimmer Brushes or want to add them to your tool box of fun!

     STEP 1: Remove the neon-colored ring from the brush and twist the brush tip on until it breaks the seal. (You should hear/feel it.)

     STEP 2: Shake the brush to get everything inside well combined. Then squeeze the brush over a scrap of paper or on the back of your hand until shimmer liquid comes out. Brush until you get the consistency you are seeking before brushing over your stamped image or other project item.

     STEP 3: Color remainder of your project, adding more shimmer as desired.

Finish your artwork

     STEP 4: Let dry a few moments before adhering. (This will vary depending on how liberal you were with your shimmer.)

     STEP 5: Store your Shimmer Brush, brush side up so that the shimmer liquid does not accumulate in the well causing a mess in the future.
