Crafting to Decorate the RV

Folks have been asking me if I have created anything to decorate the RV and make it ours.  What a silly question!  Of course, I have!

I've had to re-think my creations though... small and light are the key words to keep in mind for the RV.  Items can't take up too much space and they need to be seasonal (not one day, holiday specific) so I don't need a ton of decor in the RV either out, taking up precious space or being stored in the "basement".

With moving into the RV in the fall, that was my primary focus -- to take us from moving in through Thanksgiving.  Many of the items I made I designed for projects working with my seniors because many of them have similar issues... small apartments or rooms and they can't store a lot of large bulky items that are themed to a specific holiday.

Most of the creations shown here are not Close to My Heart, but that's okay.  Many I used CTMH products on (such as Liquid Glass for attaching ribbon and other embellishments), or Close to My Heart Cricut images (especially the Fonts) to create them.  I love creating all kinds of things, as you can tell!  I really do make more than cards and scrapbook pages!

Here are a few items I made for the RV:
(Fall Banner -- This was made by covering cardboard coasters from a local restaurant.  The papers are CTMH - Swan Lake.)
This hangs on the door as you walk into the RV.

(Stamped Candle -- I used the CTMH September Stamp of the Month, Blessed Beyond Measure to create this.)
This will be on the table for Thanksgiving when we are in Wyoming.

(Wooden Pumpkin Blocks)
This sits in front of one of the windows by the dining room table.  So simple and yet so cute!

(Fall Blocks -- Reversible!  These are painted blue and say Snow on the other side, which I'll show at a later date.)
This sits in front of another window behind the sofa.

(RV there yet? Picture)
I have this hanging on our wall in the bedroom and it is one of my favorite things I made.  I love that the RV door opens and closes.  It will probably be up year round.

(Event Calendar -- Retired CTMH product that I finished as we moved in... Yes, that is Swan Lake paper on November!)
This will stay on the wall throughout the year to remind us of special days.

(Fabric Pumpkin)
I actually didn't make this.  My friend Elsie did and I love it!  It is quilted, so it is super lightweight!  It sits in front of our TV in the living area.

The items which sit out all need to be put away when we are in motion traveling from location to location, but it only takes a few minutes to set them out or clean them up and since they are all fairly small, they go in a basket, stored in a cabinet, when needed.

Maybe these crafty creations inspired some creativity for you or others in your life.
Be sure to share this for others to be inspired by and leave a comment about what you liked, or if you have questions!  I'd love to help!

Until our next crafty adventure...
