Tip Tuesday: Waxing

Chalk Couture's Chalkology Paste is formulated to adhere specifically to Chalk Couture's wonderful chalkboards and bases; however, it may not work the way you want on boards and bases you purchase from other sources.

Thus, if using a non-Chalk Couture board or base, plan to wax it BEFORE chalking on it.

There are two main reasons you want to wax your boards and bases.

1. Waxing your board helps the Chalkology Paste to adhere and not flake off over time.
2. Waxing your board minimizes "shadowing" caused by residual paste left on your board or base after you have cleaned it to apply a fresh project.
